Becca Guyette, Chief Development Officer at United Way of Champaign County


Becca is a respected leader in philanthropy and nonprofit advancement whose career has focused on building stronger, more equitable communities. She has forged impactful partnerships, strengthened organizations serving those in need, and mentored women to lead with confidence and purpose. Her leadership embodies professional excellence and a deep commitment to creating lasting impact.

Lisa has distinguished herself as both a trusted professional and a dedicated community advocate. Known for her drive, vision, and commitment to excellence, she has built a thriving real estate career while giving back through service in Champaign County. As an emerging leader, Lisa exemplifies authenticity and courage—qualities that inspire others and highlight the promise of the next generation of women leaders.

About the ATHENA Leadership Award

The ATHENA Award actively supports and celebrates the ATHENA mission of supporting, developing and honoring women leaders, inspiring women to achieve their full potential—creating balance in leadership worldwide. The ATHENA Award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional   accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for other women to follow. 

The criteria:

ATHENA Recipients must meet each of the following three criteria:

  1. Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession.
  2. Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community.
  3. Assist women in reaching their full leadership potential.

About the ATHENA Young Professional Award

The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award honors emerging leaders. Candidates should be at least college age and have embarked on their career path. There is no minimum or maximum age requirement. 

The criteria:

  1. Demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her business or profession
  2. Provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in her community
  3. Clearly serves as a role model for young women both personally and professionally
