The workforce as we know it is changing. Diversity - not just in terms of gender and ethnicity, but also in the sense of generational norms, attitudes and work styles - is changing the way we recruit, retain, and manage employees. Employee engagement is the key. Today’s workplace requires “employee engagement” of diverse ages, viewpoints and expectations then striving to engage them according to their unique generation preferences and not just our own personal preferences and preconceptions. Faces of Change shows how important it is to learn more about and engage those employees from the different generations whose upbringing has influenced their interpersonal communication styles, work habits, and motivation.
About the Speaker
Lynn Yoerk graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology, then started her career in Champaign as a staffing consultant. She moved to Oregon where she met her husband Richard. Together they have owned six Express Employment franchises since their beginning jobs in the business as staffing consultant and sales representative. They were named 2016 Small Business of the Year by Champaign County Chamber of Commerce. Lynn has attended workshops from great leaders such as Ken Blanchard, Dale Carnegie and John Maxwell and is passionate in sharing her knowledge to help other businesses succeed.
