Title: "Aging Care 101" with Laura Edwards

Description:
Have you thought about what professional care you will need as your parents or loved ones get older? If you are lucky enough to be blessed with aging parents, you may have experienced how complicated the world of aging services can be. Laura Edwards has been working in the field of aging services for 14 years and has a deep understanding of all the different options out there and the questions families have when they are seeking aging care.

In her presentation, Laura will share answers to important questions, like,

  • How do I know when it’s time to get support for my loved one, whether at home or moving to a new community?
  • What is the difference between home care, home services, home health, home nursing, independent living, assisted living, catered living, nursing home, short term rehab, and adult day care? Which one is right for my situation?
  • How much do aging services cost?
  • How do I pick a care agency or hire a private caregiver?
  • What red flags should I watch for?

Aging services is a vast and varied industry, which many of us will have to navigate at some point in our adult lives.  Laura is going to set us up with the tools we need to have those conversations.
