This presentation will go over the basics of what Uniting Pride of Champaign County is, the work we do, and why it matters. Founded in 2009, UP works to advocate for the equality, wellness, and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in Champaign County.
Our Mission: Uniting Pride exists to create a Champaign County where all who identify as sexual and/or gender minorities can live full, healthy, and vibrant lives.
September is Pride month in Champaign-Urbana, so it's a great time to talk about advocacy and opportunity to support our local Pride initiatives.
About the Speaker:
Nicole Frydman is the Director of Operations at UP (Uniting Pride) of Champaign County.
Nicole (she/they) started on her journey of volunteerism, advocacy, and action at a very young age. Nicole’s work has spanned performing arts, political and social advocacy, education, administration and operations, fundraising, and programming and events.
Now with 20+ years of adult work in this world, they joined Uniting Pride at a pivotal moment. UP is on a massive growth trajectory and Nicole is honored to be tasked with harnessing its potential to the greatest effect with a commitment to integrity, transparency, kindness, and respect.

This event will be hosted in person at Lodgic Everyday Community 1807 S. Neil St.

on ZOOM for those who would prefer to attend virtually

Each registrant will receive 2 reminder emails prior to the luncheon. You'll find the Zoom meeting information in those emails, as well as in your confirmation email which you will get immediately upon registration.
Registration for in person is $18.00 and includes lunch.
Registration to attend in person will be available until noon on Monday, September 12th. After August 12 at noon, registration switches to "late registration" at a price of $25.00. Registration via Zoom is free and will close on Wednesday, September 14th at 12:00 noon.

11:30 a.m.: Registration and Networking
11:45 a.m.: Lunch is served
12:00 p.m.: Meeting/Program begins in person and Zoom Call Starts
