If you sit or stand at a desk all day this is the luncheon for you! Gretchen Thompson from Impact Physical Therapy will address the challenges of being sedentary at your desk all day and ways we can overcome this challenge. We often don't understand the drastic impact our work environment has on our bodies. She will share the importance of physical activity to decrease diseases and injury as we age, and the role that physical therapy can play in our overall health.
About the Presenter:
Gretchen Thompson is the managing partner and co-owner for Impact Physical Therapy in Champaign. She has 20 years of experience as a physical therapist, and still loves her job problem solving patient's pains/injuries, guiding their recovery, and treating alongside an outstanding team at the clinic. She has experienced myself, and with patients, the humbling nature of pain and injury,and know the importance of consistency and positivity in one’s recovery. She strives to provide a workplace where employees and patients feel welcome, respected, motivated, and challenged. While she has managed two clinics over the years, herprimary enjoyment is working with patients. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist and Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist; specialties allowing her to provide joint manipulations and dry needling, respectively, for comprehensive manual treatments. She enjoys running outdoors, gardening, playing games with my kids, reading, traveling, and cooking in her spare time.

This event will be hosted in person and via Zoom. The location is at the Quad Room, iHotel, 1900 South First Street, Champaign IL 61820.
Each registrant will receive 2 reminder emails prior to the luncheon.
Registration for in person members is $18.00 and includes lunch.
