Come hear from local heart-centered and dedicated non-profit warriors, their journeys, and the ways you can meet fantastic new friends and uniquely get involved in our community.

Facilitated by Heidi Esther, Joyologist, you’ll know it will be practical, playful, and inspiring! Come beat the heat in July and join us!

About the Panelists: 


Allison Winter, Community Foundation of East Central Illinois (CFECI) 

As CEO and president of CFECI, Allison Winter is honored to work at the philanthropic hub of our 9 county service area. For the majority of her 20 years of diverse experience, she spent her career helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals. She is excited to partner more deeply with donors and nonprofits as we work together to raise the quality of life in our area for good, forever. 


Angie Hatfield Marker, Carle Foundation. Circle: Women’s Legacy Circle

Angie Hatfield Marker recently assumed the role of Director of Development at Carle Health Center for Philanthropy, bringing her unwavering passion for philanthropy and a proven track record for driving transformative change to the world-class health institution. A native of Champaign and a graduate of the University of Illinois, she also holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation. Angie and her husband, Dan, live in Champaign with their sons, Johnny (12) and Dean (11).


Becca Guyette, United Way of Champaign County. Circle: Women United

Becca Guyette is Chief Development Officer for United Way of Champaign County, recently successfully leading a $6 million endowment and current use campaign for United Way’s 100th anniversary. Prior to joining United Way, Becca spent 10 years at the University of IL YMCA, kickstarting her career with the 150-year old institution in our community. She’s also a grateful wife of 20 years and a  proud mama of an entrepreneurial 16-year old and an inspiring 12-year old.

Cindy Magsamen, OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center. Circle: Women Empowered

Cindy Magsamen currently serves as the Major Gifts Officer for OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center. In this position, she plays a vital role in securing significant contributions that help advance the hospital’s mission and provide essential resources for patient care. She also brought Women Empowered to OSF HMMC late last year. Outside of her professional life Cindy volunteers with Make-A-Wish Illinois, where she serves as a Wish Granter and an area council member.


Lesa Brandt, Parkland Community College. Circle: Women of Impact 

Lesa is the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations at Parkland College. She has spent over 15 years in nonprofit management throughout East-Central Illinois.  In addition to her professional experience, Lesa has been an active volunteer with Junior League, March of Dimes, the Carle Perinatal Bereavement Committee, and the Mahomet-Seymour PTO.

Lesa lives in Mahomet with her kids Hudson (9) and Cooper (6) and Her boyfriend Lance keeps her busy cheering for the Cubs, Bears, and Illini.


Heidi Esther (Facilitator), Joyologist

helps generous and big-hearted working women leave the exhaustion and survival mode and create lives that support their authentic brilliance and peculiar genius, while still having energy to love on everyone and everything! When she’s not helping women shine as a certified emotional intelligence life coach or delivering a playful and transformative keynote to professionals on her signature Goldfish Authentic Leadership framework, she can be found meditating under her favorite blankie, baking chocolate chip cookies, or writing bad poetry. 


Luncheon Start Time:

11:30 a.m.: Registration and Networking

11:45 a.m.: Lunch is served

12:00 p.m.: Meeting/Program begins in person and Zoom Call Starts


Registration Information:

This event will be hosted in person and via Zoom. The location is at the Lincoln Room, iHotel, 1900 South First Street, Champaign, IL 61820. 

Each registrant will receive two reminder emails before the luncheon. 

Registration for in-person members is $20.00 and includes lunch. Registration for Zoom is complimentary.  

The registration deadline for the luncheon is July 15, 2024, and refunds can be issued up until the same date.


Cancelation and Refunds: 

If payment is not received by July 15, 2024, or a cancellation hasn't been made, attendees are expected to honor the luncheon fee. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact Treasurer, Shari Fox.


Non-Members: If you are not a member of ECCC and wish to attend as a guest, please contact Outreach Chair, Susan Toalson to register.
