The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a member-centered community of adult learners that is supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation, the Illinois Office of the Provost, and the generous donations of OLLI members and community partners. It is part of a network of 115 OLLI programs across the United States, with more than 113,000 members nationwide.
Christine Catanzarite was named Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in January 2012, after the retirement of the program’s founding director, Kathleen Holden. Chris came to the University of Illinois in 1997 and, before taking the position at OLLI, served as the Senior Associate Director of the Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities. She also holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies on campus.
