In his day job, Dr. Patterson focuses on preparing students from urban communities to become civic-minded global leaders. Dr. P has learned from and been inspired by women in leadership roles throughout his personal life and professional career.

It was the lessons that she taught me and my older sister that provided the intrinsic motivation we needed to become the civic-minded leaders that we are today. I learned early that, in order to be the strong man that I wanted to be, I had to know how to partner with, lead and be lead by strong women.”
